Day 2 : 5.15 pm

What a record breaker - quickest time for a bowel transplant patient to leave ICU. Beat the last record of 4 days - what a champion.

Now in high dependency, which has a lovely view of the car park and beyond that a golf course. Unfortunately the course is hidden by trees. But trees is a good thing as I remember reading once that trees are very therapeutic. And PG one day he'll be back on the golf course.

Michael's become quite disorientated since having his new meds. We've been having some odd conversations - nothing makes sense. At one point he wanted me to move the bed from ICU; every noise is 'what's that?'; and while he's dosing he's talking absolute nonsense. Perhaps I should record the conversations and play them back one day!

The care has been outstanding. Such caring, compassionate staff. And yes, through it all (feel like I should burst into song right now)Michael is continuing to apologise to everyone.

xx
